I have the day off today with my 2 cherubs and have also been on a cleaning spree with their bedroom and toys... and here is the end result.. what do you think???

The Ipswich Cup!

Hi All,

As you know it's been a while since I have blogged... however, I thought I would post and let you know about a couple of hot designers that I wore to the Ipswich Cup on Saturday and I wanted to share it all with you.

The first one is Sandra-Ann Millinery ... the designer of my gorgeous fascinator. I was lucky enough to see Sandra-Ann at the Handmade Expo in May... She was extremely helpful and made my decision a very easy one. I recommend Sandra-Ann for any head piece and for any occasion.

My hot ring that I am wearing (the massive round button) is all thanks to Kellie Christie, Jewellery Designer and Creator. She has the most gorgeous button jewellery EVER and the amount of comments that I had on it was incredible. Thanks Kellie.

My dress, unfortunately is not handmade, however it is a Wayne Cooper designer dress which I just love and will wear it many more times.

We had a marvellous time at the Ipswich Cup and would recommend it to anyone after a really fun day out and a chance to dress up...

Great family entertainment including sand sculpting with workshops, Humphrey B Bear Shows daily, Camel Racing, Fireworks, Monster Trucks, Demolition Derby, Rodeo, Miniature Animals and Animal Nursery, Australiana Village, Ipswich City Council 150 Display, Rocket Truck, Reptile Display, motoring expo, full trade pavilion, sideshow alley, showbags, candle making, face painting, Dog and Duck Show and sooooo much more - the biggest show yet!

Don't forget about the golden oldies - the cooking, craft, farm produce, horticulture, pigeons, poultry, the biggest pumpkin and much more!

I also spoilt myself and bought a new gorgeous clutch at the Handmade Heaven party... isn't it just beautiful... I think I will use this at the Hens Party that I am going to next month and it matched swimmingly with this fabulous skirt that I bought from Handmade Heaven...

I love red and black at the moment and there is sooo much that you can buy to match in, so I am very excited. I know Liesa from Handmade Heaven has some more skirts and clutches, so you are definitely not missing out - just send her an email.

My Handmade Heaven Party...

Sorry everyone, it's been a week since I held my Handmade Heaven party but I have been soooo busy and really wanted to have some photo's for this post... which I have for you now.

It was a very successful day, all my lovely lady friends were at my home to witness the first ever party and they loved it :)

Liesa did an amazing job and she bought so much variety that my guests were spoilt for choice, we had a lovely morning tea of cupcakes (of course :) and other nibblies, but just a great morning of handmade loveliness, friends and coffee... what more could we ask for..

The Handmade Expo... and other Stuff!

Well, the March Handmade Expo has been and gone and what a great day had by all. The steam train rides were full, the Turf Club was full, everyone's tummies were full (with yummy bacon and egg burgers, coffee, cupcakes and more yummy gourmet fresh food) - what more fun could someone have for a day!!!

I personally wasn't at the Expo (except for the early morning set up :) however, I was elsewhere promoting the Handmade Expo and Handmade Heaven... that's right everyone, I was at the Ipswich City Mall at the Lifestyle & Hobby Expo.. promoting, promoting, promoting. Sending everyone down to the Turf Club to experience the biggest and best quality handmade only market in town... and what a great response we had.

So many customers that came to our table told us "we have just come from there"... so that was good to hear and put a smile on our faces.

We were also at the Ipswich City Mall today as well - being a 2 day event, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to put the Handmade Expo and Handmade Heaven on the Ipswich map.. so there you have it... 2 days of Expo and Heaven this weekend.

We also have to put a big shout out to Mayor Paul Pisasale who also mentioned us on Saturday morning to the ever growing crowd in the mall, also a great promotion for the Expo knowing that Paul and the Council support us 110%. So thankyou.

So everyone, the next expo is on Saturday 17th April, same time, same place... see you there :)

A couple of weeks ago my husband was very "lucky" enough to catch the tiny rodent that has been taking up resident "inside" the house... yes, that's right inside! So we caught the little bugger... and here are some photo's.

The boys loved it, kept it, fed it, gave it water but unfortunately it ended up running away to find it's mummy and daddy!

The February Handmade Expo... Wow..

Hi Everyone,

Once again a bit down on my Handmadies posts but slowly regaining my speed - I don't know what's happening - did I lose my MOJO???

Anyway on 20th February we held our first Handmade Expo for 2010 and what a fantastic turnout for stallholders and customers alike - it would have to be up from last year and what a great day. People must have missed us as they were lining up at the door waiting to enter... what a great feeling. We had a few showers throughout the day which didn't deter the customers coming through the gates.. more of an annoying rain then anything!

The Steam Train was a great hit with customers flowing in from that over the day as well - enjoyed by all that I was able to speak with... I know my boys had a great time and will be doing it again next month.. what a great opportunity.

A great big thank you to our wonderful farmers who came again this month - their fresh local produce a massive hit with the customers, oh and the stallholders (including myself)!!! Thank you and we will see you back next month - you might need to bring some more with you!

The day all in all was fantastic, it ran smoothly, the stallholders had their wonderful handmade, handgrown and handbaked wares for sale which were being snapped up quickly by customers.

Thank you all sooo much for keeping this wonderful specialised handmade only market going once a month... we are passionate about what we do and we hope that it shows.

See you next month... mark it in your diaries - Saturday 20th March - Same Time, Same Place.

Ahhhh... Melbourne - I LOVE MELBOURNE

To all you Melbournians out there - I love your city, the weather, the public transport, the day light savings, love it all.

Dan and I at about 1am just outside the Casino!

Dan and I had a fantastic time in Melbourne on the weekend. We saw heaps, ate heaps, drank heaps, slept as much as time would allow and just had a down right fantastic trip. Always good to get home though.

I just love the little alleyways, patisseries, cafes, boutique shopping, shoe shops and the list goes on. I was a little unlucky to miss some fabulous markets and needed more time to be able to enjoy the handmade that Melbourne had to offer... however, we went, we saw and we conquered...

Melbourne.... HERE I COME

So, the hubby and I have decided to fly down to Melbourne early Saturday morning for a quick weekend getaway (no kids allowed) and flying back Sunday afternoon.... if you live in Melbourne we would love to know the things to see, things to do... I am honoured to be asked to be in Kate Cook's first music film clip. It was filmed yesterday and I am soooooo excited and can't wait to see it. My mum was in it with me as well and Paula has just been fabulous, I can't praise her enough for all the hard work and hours that she is putting in... just awesome.

NEARLY FINISHED... HAVE YOU?

I have nearly finished ALL my christmas shopping... I am pretty proud of myself as well as I would say 90% of my chrissy presents are handmade (not by me but by lovely creative handmadies, like yourself)! Even my christmas wrapping is handmade... (thanks to The Paper Tie Affair)....

I still have a few manly presents to purchase and then I am done.... done.... done!!!!

I went to Riverlink yesterday and have to say that I will NOT be going there again AT ALL for ANYTHING... it literally took me 20 minutes to get from one end to the other - absolutely ridiculous... if only they knew that you can get into Handmade Heaven and do all your handmade christmas shopping there... yes, you have to fight a crowd too at Handmade Heaven - but it's somewhere that you want to be and you can enjoy a cupcake while you wait... LOL

THE LAST HANDMADE EXPO - WHAT A HOOT

Hi Everyone,

Well the last Handmade Expo for 2009 has been and gone and what a hoot... or is that hot!!!!

It started of with a lovely breeze, cloud cover and a gathering of eager customers at the front gate chomping at the bit waiting to come in and start their christmas shopping. So 8:00am the gates opened and in they flooded, one constant stream.... all day - thank you customers - you rock and Merry Christmas.

Our stallholders were extremely eager at 5:30am, the weather was coolish - of course you would start early. Everyone was friendly and organised for the final market of the year... patience is definitely the key so we want to thank everyone for that.... patience.. It has been a pleasure to help you every month sell your fabulous handmade goodies to the customers that keep coming back.. Merry Christmas and you guys rock too.

Also, a big thank you Liesa and Mum... of course without you this wouldn't be possible because I certainly wouldn't be able to handle it on my own... here's to a fabulous chrissy break.

And last but not least to my beautiful husband Dan and Dad who help the stallholders who need a canopy or help with the one's they bring, for putting up the signs and the blowy man to attract the customers to our front gates... Thank you.

So everyone, have a great break and merry christmas and we will see you in 2010 all re-freshed and ready for a new market year on 20th February 2010.

THE HANDMADE EXPO - 3 MORE SLEEPS

So everyone, only 3 more sleeps until the fabulous Handmade Expo.. the last one for the year, 2009 has nearly gone. We hope to see you all there on Saturday from 8am to 2pm at the Ipswich Turf Club. Entry is Free, plenty of free parking, there will be a sausage sizzle supporting Silkstone Primary School and our usual fabulous coffee guys oh, and don't forget the to-die-for snow cones.

We welcome our very first Lockyer Valley Farmer coming to sell his fresh produce as well - you will have to get in quick because I will be doing my farmer shopping first up... and we also have a local farmer selling fresh eggs too.

We also welcome back all our gorgeous regular and new stallholders who, without their patronage and ongoing support every month, makes this the biggest and best market in town!

So see you all there on Saturday with hats, sunscreen and hopefully no umbrellas.

2. A free 45 minute concert on Thursday 3rd December in Darcy Doyle Place, Ipswich Central from 7pm.

THE HANDMADE EXPO - WHAT A GREAT DAY!

I am happy to say that the Handmade Expo was another great success... this was the biggest yet, we were proud to welcome 132 stallholders this month... IPSWICH'S BIGGEST and BEST MARKET... I am certainly proud of this and I know all our stallholders are too, so a huge thank you to our wonderful, loyal stallholders who stay with us every month... we really appreciate it.

Now, to our customers - we had a fabulous day. We thank you for braving the heat, as it was a scorcher but we thank you for coming every month to support our local handmadies and the BEST market in town! Plus, we are pretty certain you crossed a lot off your christmas list (I know I did)! With our free entry now and forever that just puts the cherry on top!

I will post next about all the fantastic, fabulous handmade gifts that I have bought for people for christmas... and so you know what is in store next month on Saturday 12th December.

Thank you all once again... without your support this would not be the best MARKET to visit once a month at the loveliest, relaxed outdoor venue in town.

The Noosa Holiday

As promised guys, here are some photo's of the fabulous 2 week Noosa holiday that we have just returned from. It was gorgeous and sunny and we were lucky enough for the rain to hit us as our heads hit the pillow.

Catching Fish..

The view from my deckchair beside the pool... hey, I couldn't resist.

We did ALOT of walking and the boys riding, swimming and fishing. The best fishing I have ever had... we caught 12 whiting which we kept and cooked. The first time I have ever actually ate what I caught.... admittedly though I haven't caught big enough to eat - so that was a highlight.

I just can't believe how much the boys grow when they are with us 24/7. As Dan and I both work full time, its a real pleasure to spend so much time with them to see how they have grown up so much. My eldest Jordan is just so confident in the water now and can swim across the pool, big arms and all and he is only 4... and my youngest Jackson, well he just has no fear (not such a good thing with water) however, still very impressive.

Back to work we toddled off today, Jordan settled back in nicely at Kindy as did Jackson at his day mum.... as for me - quite surprised actually, went to work with a smile on my face and motivation in my heart (I wonder how long that will last... LOL).

I now have a few things to look forward to and that is receiving my artwork in the mail from Kaili's Art.. Kaili is posting my artwork tomorrow so hopefully receive it this week, you will all be updated - trust me!

Also looking forward to the blogette party that we are holding to finally meet some of the wonderful people that we meet in blogland in person... if you would like to come please email me to let me know if you can come. It will be on Monday 30th November from 11am to 2pm at Laidley (between Ipswich and Toowoomba). It's bring a plate, a handmade gift, swimmers and a sense of fun and meeting new people. If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please do so. It would be great to meet you if you can make it.

The Handmade Expo is also on this Saturday at the Ipswich Turf Club from 8am to 2pm... I am also looking forward to this as I love expo days - so many people to see, chat too and meet... it's a great day - so come along if you have some free time.

And last but not least I have to mention Handmade Heaven... they are expanding into the shop next door, making the little slice of heaven even bigger by welcoming Di-Licious cupcakes as well... so for all your cupcake needs head into Handmade Heaven... they are looking at opening very soon - I will keep you posted on that as well.

Just a reminder that the Handmade Expo is being held on this Saturday (21st November) from 8am to 2pm at the Ipswich Turf Club. An array of stallholders selling their handmade wares and what a fabulous outlet to do some Christmas shopping...

Don't forget also that the entry fee has been dropped so it is now FREE to come to the Handmade Expo.... what another great reason to come along. There will be upto 120 stalls, so definitely an expo not to be missed.

Again, going through my photo's before holidays and realise how slack I have been with posting photo's taken at the October Handmade Expo.... so here are a couple. We are lucky enough to have a couple of fabulous singers on board that do a wonderful job in keeping us not only entertained but the atmosphere is so much better with them (thank you guys if you are reading this)!

LOOK WHAT I WON!

I was just going through my photo's on my camera before I go on hols tomorrow and I soooo forgot to post this after the last Handmade Expo in October. When the world record of the "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" was being held I bought a couple of raffle tickets to win a hamper and my name was the first to be drawn out to win one..

I couldn't believe my luck.. In my hamper I had won a night away at the Marriott in Brisbane, movie tickets, fudge, chocolates, bottle of wine which was in a wrought iron holder with candles and a few other bits and pieces.... I very rarely win anything so was very excited.. Needless to say though all the chocolate and fudge has gone!!!! LOL

Just thought I would share... you have to be in it to win it!

WE ARE GOING ON.... SUMMER HOLIDAYS!

No more work for me to do!!!! I have actually been lucky enough to start my holidays from today but will be heading off on Saturday to go on a 2 week family holiday to NOOSA.... here are some photo's of where we will be staying.

Both my husband "Dan" and I work full-time and with 2 little kidlettes we look forward to this time of year.... every year! This year we have invited my wonderful Mum and Dad to come for a couple of days and also Dan's parents for a couple of days as well...

I have been taking notice of the weather forecast and so far it looks like we will be in luck with 30 odd degree weather... so definitely swimming weather (and fishing too of course)!

While we are away Dan and I will also celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary on 3 November, so what a beautiful place to be to celebrate!

I will miss the blog, so if you don't hear from me, this is why... I do get internet on my I-Phone so if I start to get withdrawals then at least I can switch on while I am sipping Brown Brothers Mascarto by the pool as the sunsets... ooops... sorry!

I have been thinking about starting my Christmas Shopping... Because I have taken the Handmade Pledge I am going to try and keep ALL prezzies handmade this year! Last year I was about 50% handmade, 50% shops... This year I am going to try and do it... 100%.

Have you started Christmas Shopping yet? Do you try and keep everything handmade or is it too hard? Just interested to see where people are at!

I am going to start my online shopping very soon but also have Handmade Heaven, 2 Handmade Expo's and a Brisstyle Market yet, so I am sure I will have a lot to choose from.

I have done it.... I have bought my first piece of ART... EVER! I have bought "From Little Things Big Things Grow" from the lovely Kaili Art ... check out her blog! Her art is gorgeous and I have been eyeing this particular piece off for a while and decided to endulge...

If you have been following my blog for a while.. I have started decorating my PINK room... this will take centre stage on my pink room wall.. I am very very excited and can't wait to have this gorgeous canvas in my little hands to hang immediately.

Kaili is just gorgeous to deal with, very easy going and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking at something a little bit different!

Once I have hung my art, I will be sure to blog about it... couldn't resist in telling you all about it though!

WE SAW KATE LAST NIGHT - LIVE

Well, we had a fabulous night last night... heading out with the fam and Liesa & Cooper out to good ole Lowood to see Kate Cook (Australian Idol) sing live to all her fans... As I am best buds with her sister Paula and also know Kate personally it was great to see her, give her a hug and then watch her sing live to all her fans.

She was absolutely being mobbed so didn't get a photo opportunity and even Paula didn't really get to be with her either... but she is just fantastic.

So make sure you watch Australian Idol on Sunday nights on Channel 10, if she makes it through to the top 5 then make sure you vote "Kate" to 191010.

So, the Handmade Expo is on this Saturday from 8am to 2pm at the Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Rd, Bundamba (Ipswich, QLD). There will be over 100 stalls of handmade loveliness and a market not to be missed. Entry is $2 for adults and kidlettes are free.

This month we are lucky enough to have a Guiness World Record attempt of Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. We need approx. 1500 people to beat the current world record. So if you would like to be apart of history, pop on down to the Handmade Expo. The attempt will take place at approx. 1pm - so don't miss out! Everyone knows how to do heads, shoulders, knees and toes.

MY BIRTHDAY... Not quite 30!!!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes. I had a fabulous day yesterday, I took the day off and went to Indooroopilly for a "little" shopping spree, by myself, no children or husband, just me and it was FABULOUS!

I received a special delivery on Thursday from Mum and Dad which I have some photo's below. An absoloute gorgeous array for cupcakes all for me... which of course I shared! Thanks to Di-licious for these gorgeous cupcakes - very creative.

I first went and saw Liesa so I could wish her a happy birthday too. We exchanged gifts which I have attached some photo's of. Gorgeous and of course ALL handmade from Handmade Heaven. Just delightful and of course adding some touches of pink to my new pink room!

My husband has become quite creative with his birthday present for me as well. He got me a 1 hour personal style session at Chermside Shopping Centre for which I am very thankful for. I will be sure to let you know that goes..

I also received a special delivery from my grandparents. I received these 3 gorgeous handmade wash clothes (for the kitchen)! Very environmentally friendly, easy to clean and re-usable and just gorgeous. Thanks Grandma!

We are off to Mum and Dad's for dinner tonight and it's going to be quite a warm one so I think I will take my swimmers to have a dip in their pool with the kids... couldn't think of a better place to be on a Saturday afternoon!

Yeah, it's October - my favourite month. Not only is it my birthday tomorrow (hip, hip, horay) I am going to be doing a fab giveaway this month as well for my 50th post (I know it's generally the 100th post but I couldn't wait another 50... The Handmade Expo has been and gone for another month and what a great day it was. Other than the dreadful wind, the school holidays and the AFL Grand Final to contend with we had nearly 900 people through the gates which we are absolutely over the moon with.

The majority of stallholders that we spoke to during the day had a great day and great trade.

We also welcomed 120 stallholders, so the Expo is expanding every month which is just fabulous and we really want to grow our Gourmet Fresh section so please, if you know any farmers out there looking to sell their produce please ask them to contact us - they are always welcome.

We welcomed back Farmer Dave with this lamb, and also Mrs K's Cafe & Bakery selling bread and slices. You can find Mrs K's during the week at the Winston Glades Shopping Centre.

Don't forget we have stalls ranging from fabulous cupcakes and coffee to kids clothing, accessories, plants, timber products, jewellery and much more. The next Expo will be held on Saturday 17th October, Ipswich Turf Club from 8am to 2pm with adults $2 and kids free.

October we are welcoming a Guiness World Record challenge which needs your help. A minimum of 1500 people are required to break the World Record of doing "Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes"... if you know how to do this make sure you come to the Expo and be part of the World Record.

THE HANDMADE EXPO - THIS SATURDAY

So, here we are again - another month gone, another expo to look forward to. The Handmade Expo will welcome nearly 120 stallholders selling their gorgeous handmade wares this Saturday at the Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Road, Bundamba (Ipswich, Queensland) ($2 entry for adults, kids are free)!

Starting at 8am you will be greeted by us (me, Liesa and my mum Miriam) and then it's off to find the coffee man, the cupcake lady and your treats and gifts for the day.... Oh, don't forget the gourmet fresh section of the market which is growing every month. If you remember, make sure you bring your cooler bag so you can stock up on Farmer Dave's fresh lamb as well.

Bubba Chenille will be there with her gorgeous kids clothing and accessories made from pre-loved chenille bedspreads and also the best selling and famous chenille heat packs.

We have everything from jewellery and ceramics to timber goods, children's clothing and even the jam and chutney stall! So don't miss the Expo, head down to Ipswich for a lovely day out, you won't be dissapointed - it's a day not to be missed.

RACECOURSE RD STREET PARTY - TOMORROW

I had to do one more post before the big Racecourse Road Street Party tomorrow at Hamilton. It will be a street party not to be missed with countless market stalls (preferrably Handmade)!!, food stalls, live music on 4 different stages and much more.

So for a little bit of culture, fun, shopping and just a great time - head out tomorrow. I will be with Mum (aka Bubba Chenille) at her site, so drop in and say hello. We will be mixed in with other fabulous "handmadies" from the Brisstyle Team.

STREET PARTY - HAMILTON - SUNDAY 20TH

I have accepted the invitation from my Mum to help her out at the Street Party at Hamilton on this Sunday the 20th September from 10am to 5pm. It is all part of the Brisbane Festival and will include markets, food, music, roving entertainment and much, much more.

We are lucky to be surrounded by other talented Handmadies from the Brisstyle team... See you all there, I am sooooo much looking forward to a day out with creative souls... My gorgeous twin Liesa will be there too .... she has had a haircut so we don't quite look the same anymore - she has the fringe!!!!

KATE COOK - AUSTRALIAN IDOL - TONIGHT

Hi Everyone,

Well, it's that time of the week again when we can all sit down and embrace the Australian singing talent on Australian Idol, 6:30pm tonight on Channel 10.

Kate Cook, our fabulous local top 12 will face elimination tonight but will no doubt go through to the top 10 with her performance last week. Once through, she will then perform a rock song. Please SMS Kate to 191010 to keep Kate's dream alive.

Voting lines will open tonight and will be open until 3:00am tomorrow morning so it is best that voting is done while the show is on...

Thank you all for your support in keeping her dream alive - she is a real talent and it would be a shame to see such great talent be sent home so early in the competition..

I am lucky enough that every month I get to shop at The Handmade Expo. It's like my own little shopping haven. Here are my recent fabulous handmade purchases:-

It was also my son, Jordan's 4th birthday on Saturday. We all had a lovely day as a family and then on Sunday celebrated at the beautiful Queen's Park in Ipswich with family as well. We had beautiful cupcakes made by Di-Licious (thanks guys) and some beautiful handmade gifts (which I will post later in the week). Happy Birthday Jordan - we hope you had a fabulous day.

KATE COOK - AUSTRALIAN IDOL TOP 24

It's not very often that I get to say that I know someone famous! Well, now I can. My bestfriend, Paula - her sister, Kate Cook made it through to the top 24 of Australia Idol. Did you see her perform last night? Kate was one of the first 6 to perform for this years show. She was fantastic! The judges loved her and so did I.

WHAT A SUCCESS - 1ST BIRTHDAY!

The 1st birthday of the Handmade Expo has been and gone... and what a success. Thank you to all our stallholders who continue to support us month after month and to the wonderful customers who come through our doors every month and really enjoy what we do... this fabulous market of handmade, hand grown awsomeness is what we do and what we will continue to do for our wonderful city of Ipswich.... So don't miss the next one which will be on Saturday 26th September, Ipswich Turf Club at Bundamba from 8am to 2pm... Anyway, here are some photo's of the wonderful day. We had a brilliant 105 stalls and approx. 1200 customers through the door... THANK YOU!

The atmosphere of our new venue was awesome. We had buskers, sausage sizzles, free cupcakes to our first 500 customers, fab coffee and lovely people flowing all day. Many customers stayed for hours and did a couple of rounds. It just has a really relaxed feel. So hope to see you in September.

The Today Show.... IN IPSWICH!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has been a while since my last post... computer problems!

Anyway, on Friday Ipswich was lucky enough to have the Today Show do their broadcasting live from Queens Park. Of course Liesa and I had to be there to try and promote the Handmade Expo which was held yesterday (Saturday) at the Ipswich Turf Club.

We had an absolute ball and got the signs into shot of the camera quite a few times... as Liesa called herself a "media tart" she couldn't resist the opportunity so off we went nice and early Friday morning. If it brought one more extra person to the Expo then we have done our job! Did you see us on Channel 9 flashing around our signs? If so, we would love to hear from you!

SHOULD I WAKE HIM UP????

Well, we have just come back from the Gold Coast from a 3 night stay. We had a good time, good weather and shall I say it.... good company. We got home today and check this out, my youngest, Jackson couldn't keep his eyes open. It is 4:30 in the afternoon and he has fallen asleep - his poor little body couldn't carry on.. LOL.. My dilemma is - should I wake him?? Would you wake him?

So there you go... I am also off work this week for a well deserved break as well as Dan and Jordan (my eldest). There will be some lovely day trips and some stays at home to get some stuff done... Stuff that we have been wanting to do FOREVER and just don't get the chance.

The Handmade Expo is on Saturday so that pretty much takes out next weekend so this week will be busy with family time, housework and maybe a vist to Nanny and Poppy... we will have to see what the week brings.

If I don't see you all on Saturday I will be sure to keep you up to date with everything.

I FEEL LIKE I HAVE DONE SOMETHING TODAY!

Today I used my freeby green bags from the Green Bag Lady. Admitedly it is the first time I have actually used one. Don't get me wrong, I have bought them before but always forget to take them with me when I actually enter the shopping centre. So I put them in my handbag this time so I wouldn't forget them and they fold up perfectly to fit.

While the checkout chic was packing my bits and pieces in my gorgeous bags I felt like I was actually doing something for the environment, making a difference and feeling good about it, not to mention looking good with the fab bags.

Just had to share that all with you. I hope you remember to take your green bags with you next time you go shopping, it will make you feel good!
