The Today Show.... IN IPSWICH!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has been a while since my last post... computer problems!

Anyway, on Friday Ipswich was lucky enough to have the Today Show do their broadcasting live from Queens Park. Of course Liesa and I had to be there to try and promote the Handmade Expo which was held yesterday (Saturday) at the Ipswich Turf Club.

We had an absolute ball and got the signs into shot of the camera quite a few times... as Liesa called herself a "media tart" she couldn't resist the opportunity so off we went nice and early Friday morning. If it brought one more extra person to the Expo then we have done our job! Did you see us on Channel 9 flashing around our signs? If so, we would love to hear from you!

SHOULD I WAKE HIM UP????

Well, we have just come back from the Gold Coast from a 3 night stay. We had a good time, good weather and shall I say it.... good company. We got home today and check this out, my youngest, Jackson couldn't keep his eyes open. It is 4:30 in the afternoon and he has fallen asleep - his poor little body couldn't carry on.. LOL.. My dilemma is - should I wake him?? Would you wake him?

So there you go... I am also off work this week for a well deserved break as well as Dan and Jordan (my eldest). There will be some lovely day trips and some stays at home to get some stuff done... Stuff that we have been wanting to do FOREVER and just don't get the chance.

The Handmade Expo is on Saturday so that pretty much takes out next weekend so this week will be busy with family time, housework and maybe a vist to Nanny and Poppy... we will have to see what the week brings.

If I don't see you all on Saturday I will be sure to keep you up to date with everything.

I FEEL LIKE I HAVE DONE SOMETHING TODAY!

Today I used my freeby green bags from the Green Bag Lady. Admitedly it is the first time I have actually used one. Don't get me wrong, I have bought them before but always forget to take them with me when I actually enter the shopping centre. So I put them in my handbag this time so I wouldn't forget them and they fold up perfectly to fit.

While the checkout chic was packing my bits and pieces in my gorgeous bags I felt like I was actually doing something for the environment, making a difference and feeling good about it, not to mention looking good with the fab bags.

Just had to share that all with you. I hope you remember to take your green bags with you next time you go shopping, it will make you feel good!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND :) !!!

As I was reading the local rag today I came across a number of articles that I thought might be of interest... Everything to do with The Handmade Expo and Handmade Heaven .

The next Handmade Expo is being held at it's new location of the Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Road, Bundamba (Ipswich) on Saturday 15th August from 8am to 2pm. With over 100 stallholders and introducing Gourmet Fresh... Should be a great 1st birthday celebration.

Liesa from Handmade Heaven (and The Handmade Expo of course) also received a bit of media exposure in the Indy and being involved with the Top of Town Traders... Well done Liesa, nice exposure for Handmade and keeping Handmade alive..

My GREEN BAGS HAVE ARRIVED!

I was lucky enough to win 2 green bags from the Green Bag Lady. One was for myself and the other for my husband Dan (who was over the moon might I add).

If you haven't heard of the Green Bag Lady she is this fabulous lady (and her husband too) who make Green Bags and give them away basically to help the environment and to stop people from using plastic bags. When you win a bag, it has a number attached. In my case there were 2 numbers... 6209 and 6241.

INTRODUCING AZRIELLE and A SPECIAL TREAT!

In the mail today I received my long awaited package from Jettas Nest. I won a gorgeous brooch from Samantha in the July Brisstyle Giveaway.

As I have learnt in blogland you have to photograph the package and then the opened package... So I have done this for all of you to see exactly what I saw!

Well, I better go and have another Krispy Kreme with a cuppa.... and think about what I will dream of tonight and what sort of day I will have tomorrow.
