The Handmade Expo... and other Stuff!

Well, the March Handmade Expo has been and gone and what a great day had by all. The steam train rides were full, the Turf Club was full, everyone's tummies were full (with yummy bacon and egg burgers, coffee, cupcakes and more yummy gourmet fresh food) - what more fun could someone have for a day!!!

I personally wasn't at the Expo (except for the early morning set up :) however, I was elsewhere promoting the Handmade Expo and Handmade Heaven... that's right everyone, I was at the Ipswich City Mall at the Lifestyle & Hobby Expo.. promoting, promoting, promoting. Sending everyone down to the Turf Club to experience the biggest and best quality handmade only market in town... and what a great response we had.

So many customers that came to our table told us "we have just come from there"... so that was good to hear and put a smile on our faces.

We were also at the Ipswich City Mall today as well - being a 2 day event, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to put the Handmade Expo and Handmade Heaven on the Ipswich map.. so there you have it... 2 days of Expo and Heaven this weekend.

We also have to put a big shout out to Mayor Paul Pisasale who also mentioned us on Saturday morning to the ever growing crowd in the mall, also a great promotion for the Expo knowing that Paul and the Council support us 110%. So thankyou.

So everyone, the next expo is on Saturday 17th April, same time, same place... see you there :)

Only 3 Sleeps UNTIL....

That's right everyone only 3 more sleeps until the Handmade Expo with such an array of stallholders this month, gourmet fresh, gorgeous handmade loveliness plus steam train rides, bring the husband and the kids for a fab day out..

Guess What I am Having.....

A Handmade Heaven party... you guessed it - imagine this... 30 woman all together, coffee & cupcakes and shopping for handmade loveliness.. That's what Liesa (my wonderful twin sister) will be doing at my house on Sunday.. and I can't wait!

So I will let you know all about it and how it goes... but if you would like to hold a Handmade Heaven party at your house with all your girlfriends then shoot Liesa an email handmadeheaven@optusnet.com.au and book in a date... What a great way to spend a Sunday.

MY PIC OF THE DAY.... YUK!

A couple of weeks ago my husband was very "lucky" enough to catch the tiny rodent that has been taking up resident "inside" the house... yes, that's right inside! So we caught the little bugger... and here are some photo's.

The boys loved it, kept it, fed it, gave it water but unfortunately it ended up running away to find it's mummy and daddy!

The February Handmade Expo... Wow..

Hi Everyone,

Once again a bit down on my Handmadies posts but slowly regaining my speed - I don't know what's happening - did I lose my MOJO???

Anyway on 20th February we held our first Handmade Expo for 2010 and what a fantastic turnout for stallholders and customers alike - it would have to be up from last year and what a great day. People must have missed us as they were lining up at the door waiting to enter... what a great feeling. We had a few showers throughout the day which didn't deter the customers coming through the gates.. more of an annoying rain then anything!

The Steam Train was a great hit with customers flowing in from that over the day as well - enjoyed by all that I was able to speak with... I know my boys had a great time and will be doing it again next month.. what a great opportunity.

A great big thank you to our wonderful farmers who came again this month - their fresh local produce a massive hit with the customers, oh and the stallholders (including myself)!!! Thank you and we will see you back next month - you might need to bring some more with you!

The day all in all was fantastic, it ran smoothly, the stallholders had their wonderful handmade, handgrown and handbaked wares for sale which were being snapped up quickly by customers.

Thank you all sooo much for keeping this wonderful specialised handmade only market going once a month... we are passionate about what we do and we hope that it shows.

See you next month... mark it in your diaries - Saturday 20th March - Same Time, Same Place.
