I have nearly finished ALL my christmas shopping... I am pretty proud of myself as well as I would say 90% of my chrissy presents are handmade (not by me but by lovely creative handmadies, like yourself)! Even my christmas wrapping is handmade... (thanks to The Paper Tie Affair)....
I still have a few manly presents to purchase and then I am done.... done.... done!!!!
I went to Riverlink yesterday and have to say that I will NOT be going there again AT ALL for ANYTHING... it literally took me 20 minutes to get from one end to the other - absolutely ridiculous... if only they knew that you can get into Handmade Heaven and do all your handmade christmas shopping there... yes, you have to fight a crowd too at Handmade Heaven - but it's somewhere that you want to be and you can enjoy a cupcake while you wait... LOL

I'm finished too!! its a good feeling! i'd say 50% of mine are handmade... next year i will aim for 100% :)
ReplyDeleteYou've done really well to be finished this early. I'm still putting scotts together. I have some handmade and some store bought (I doubt there's a handmade john deere calender out there.

Oh, this is a great post Mick...I wont be going to Riverlink again either...It took me 20 minutes to find a park. Why would you want to go anywhere else but The Top of Town...so many great shops and finds.

ReplyDeleteLOL Sorry Gemma, I forgot that my readers come from other places than Ipswich... Riverlink is the local shopping centre, it has everything from Target and City Beach to Medicare and the Coffee Club... it's fabulous!

You all need our secret. We park under the east mall at Riverlink and have never had a problem driving on straight in to a park. BUT don't you go sharing that info with too many people ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd say that about 90% of mine are handmade. There are a couple of books and a tramp for the kids and some model cars for the husband. That's the only commercial stuff I've bought!
My shopping is finished too, thanks to you and Liesa telling me I have enough!
